The Red Rock Road Enhancement Maintenance District is a special taxing district formed pursuant to Title 48 of the Arizona Revised Statutes to provide maintenance of the landscaping, pedestrian lighting, benches, and trash receptacles and banners along SR179.
The limits of the RRREMD project are along SR179 between milepost 305.45 and 307.08 for a distance of 1.63 miles; or from the Coconino National Forest boundary in the south (or approximately 890 feet south of Rojo Drive) to the Coconino National Forest boundary in the north (or approximately 465 feet north of East Bell Rock Boulevard).
The District contracts for landscaping maintenance service with Price Landscaping. Environmental Biomass Services provides pedestrian lighting maintenance and other miscellaneous duties. Improvement District Services Inc. provides administrative and Board services for the District.

Field Supervisor
RRREMD is looking for a part-time Field Supervisor who acts in the capacity as an Independent Contractor. The position calls for a person experienced in landscape and hardscape maintenance, including the care of local plants, trees, shrubs, as well as having a good knowledge of complex irrigation and lighting systems. The interested person should have an interest in outdoor maintenance and aesthetics for the beautification of the District in the Village of Oak Creek.

Red Rock Road Enhancement Maintenance District (RRREMD) is a special taxing district formed pursuant to Title 48 of the Arizona Revised Statutes to provide maintenance of the landscaping, pedestrian lighting, benches and trash receptacles and banners along AZ SR179. The limits of the RRREMD project are along SR179 between milepost 305.45 and 307.08 for a distance of 1.63 miles; or from the Coconino National Forest boundary in the south (or approximately 890 feet south of Rojo Drive) to the Coconino National Forest boundary in the north (or approximately 465 feet north of East Bell Rock Boulevard). The District is served by a 5-member Board of elected officials, who meet on a quarterly basis.
Scope of Duties. Upon the request of the District, Contractor is retained to provide the following services:

Inspect the District’s sidewalks, shoulders and other pedestrian attributes for compliance to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA);

Inspect the District’s utilitarian features, such as lighting, benches and trash receptacles when damaged or improvements are required;

Make recommendations to the District Board for hiring and scheduling of project contractors;
-
Act as a liaison between the District Board and Arizona Department of Transportation [ADOT], other State and County entities as well as contractors involved in District maintenance projects or doing work in the District;
-
Inspect District projects and landscape to ensure the landscape maintenance contractor(s) have complied with their contractual responsibilities.

Be familiar with public works issues, such as boundaries, rights-of-way, drainage, signage, etc. in order to keep the District apprised of any violations;
-
Other field duties as agreed upon by the Contractor and the District.
Additional Responsibilities. Contractor shall:

Provide Contractor’s own motor vehicle and maintenance of Contractor’s vehicle or vehicles;
-
Provide at Contractor’s own expense automobile liability insurance and such other insurance as Contractor may elect to acquire providing coverage upon any vehicle used within the scope of duties on behalf of the District. The insurance must meet ADOT requirements;

Provide at Contractor’s own expense such equipment as may be necessary to provide field superintendent services to the District;
-
Maintain complete and legible records of all professional services provided by Contractor on behalf of the District;
-
Conduct themselves toward the public in an honest, ethical, respectful and professional manner;
-
Comply with all Federal, State and other such governmental laws as may apply to the services of its field superintendent;
-
Respond promptly to, but no event later than 36 hours after, any request by the District for field superintendent services.
Part-time between 3 and 4 hours per week or 175 hours annually. Pay based on experience and negotiable up to $40/hour.
